Final Draft Awards

The 15th annual Final Draft Awards have been announced and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood writer-director Quentin Tarantino will be honored with the Hall of Fame Award at the screenwriting software’s gala ceremony on January 21, 2020 at Paramount Studios. In a statement, Final Draft president Scott McMenamin said “Quentin Tarantino is an iconic filmmaker whose bold and imaginative storytelling has been thrilling audiences for almost three decades. He’s left an indelible mark on cinema that is distinctly his and it’s our honor to recognize him.” Previous Final Draft Hall of Fame Award winners include Callie Khouri, Aaron Sorkin, Nancy Meyers; Lawrence Kasdan, Paul Schrader, and Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.

Also slated to be honored include The Farewell writer-director Lulu Wang and Pose writer/co-creator Steven Canals, who will receive the New Voice Award for film and television. The special event will also serve to announce the winners of Final Draft’s annual Big Break Screenwriting Contest.
